Mara + Danny posed as our engaged couple for the Film is Not Dead workshop here in NYC. Two of the nicest people you could ever meet. They also have a really sweet blog, A Blog about Love. Mr. Film is Not Dead (Jonathan Canlas) has a new book out. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy. See more photos here. Viva la film!

Adieu Le Train Bleu

Le Train Bleu is a Portland-based online clothing boutique. All the pieces are so beautifully curated. Sadly, after a nearly 10 year run, it is closing its doors on Wednesday, February 8th. You can read a little bit more about Le Train Bleu here and the amazing owner behind it all here (she hung up a sheet recently in her backyard and watched the Breakfast Club on projector! How awesome is that?). I had the privilege of shooting for Le Train Bleu back in 2005 in Duvall, Washington. It could not have been a more perfect day. I loved every single one of the pieces (and still dream about that chevron skirt and gold shoes!) and ran away with that pink sweater (which I still wear!). Farewell, sweet Le Train Bleu. You will be missed.

How to Bake an Apple Pie, Part I

I accompanied my favorite pie baker to the Union Square Farmer's Market for some fresh ingredients so that we could bake a pie. Stay tuned for Part II!

Ruby Slippers
I don't wear heels. Ever. Not interested. However, I was quite taken with these. Really. In red. But why on earth spend $228 on a shoe that I will find horribly uncomfortable (I will) and will only wear once or twice (if that)? So, I bought a pair of red heels at a thrift store, used spray adhesive and glitter and voilĂ ! Ruby slippers.
