WHY I SHOOT FILM

I learned to shoot film in college on an old Pentax K1000 (still my all-time favorite camera). I spent hours in the dark room, developing and printing black and white film. In 2004, because the jobs required it, I switched to digital. As the years passed, however, a lot of the joy I once felt by shooting, processing and printing my own film was lost. The look wasn't quite what I was after, too. Although I used a Holga here and there, in 2007, I decided to really get back into film. I now work as a hybrid shooter, shooting both film and digital cameras. Film is luminous. Film is beautiful. Now I enjoy shooting both. Long live film!
