The gentleman with the Cyclone hat is lucky enough to have a brother who makes him a Coney Island hat every year for the Polar Bear Plunge. See previous years here and here.

Jazz Age | Governors Island | August 2012

I brought an old Canon AE-1 with me to the Jazz Age Lawn Party back in 2012. Unfortunately, half way through the day the camera completely died. Never to be resurrected again. RIP Canon AE-1. You can see photos from previous Jazz Age Lawn Parties here and here

A Kid's Party

I really love kid's parties: the cupcakes, the crazed running around, the food, the balloons.

These were taken on a playground in Astoria, Queens last November (it was still warm enough!) on a Mamiya 645 Pro TL, Portra and Tri-X film.

Coney Island Polar Bear Plunge 1.01.13

There's no better way to start the New Year than trekking out to Coney Island for the Polar Bear Plunge. We try to go every year (the last photo is from the 2012 Polar Bear Plunge!).
